Air conditioning

As most of you know we live in Houston, Texas. HOT! Unless you have lived in the south, or visited during the summer months, it is difficult to explain how swelteringly hot and humid it gets. Well, last night I was reading in bed and noticed that the air conditioner had been running for about 2 hours straight. And I was HOT! So, I walked across the house to see what the thermostat had to say for itself. We always lower it to about 70 degrees at night but it still displayed 76 degrees. I was wondering why Cooper was panting... (j/k) So, Troy went outside to see if the unit sounded ok, but unfortunately it didn't. He switched on the emergency shutoff. (Did you know you have one of those on your a/c unit outside? I didn't! Thank God for Troy's expertise, seriously!) So, this morning Troy called the a/c company he uses for work and they had us on VIP status, so they said we would be the 2nd call today. In the meantime, I called Aunt Robin and asked her if it gets too hot, could we go to her house and swim or hang out... She said "sure" and off we went. I forgot to bring my camera, but took a couple pics with my cell phone.

How cute are they?! ha-ha! So, finally Troy called and said the repairman would be at our house in about 30 minutes. We are now home. The repairman has already arrived and looked at the unit. He came to the conclusion that it will need a new fan motor, I think. He left to buy it and will be back soon. If it isn't one thing, it's another!! That's ok... A few weeks ago, Pastor was saying that no matter what we are going through, we need to thank Jesus for whatever it is. For everything! So, that's what I am doing, thanking Jesus...
