The day after the ferocious storm

It is really overcast outside today and rains sporadically. I think we are getting more of the rain-bands today than yesterday from the monster they call Dolly. Of course I am kidding about "monster", the media always exaggerates and I am poking fun (it wasn't bad here, I know it was bad elsewhere). We desperately needed the rain though; our grass was turning a delightful shade of tan-ish green. I really need to start working out again. I have just been SO tired lately and I can't get back into the swing of things. I have to catch up on lots of laundry, too.

Troy had one of the a/c guys come and check out our a/c this morning to make sure everything is in perfect working order. The guy said everything looks good and he topped off the frion, which wasn't low-just needed a little. I think we are just feeling the effects of high gas prices from our electricity bills. MAN!! We already called our electric provider to get a lower rate. For those of you that don't pay attention to those things, the amount they charge per kilowatt hour is steadily increasing. We locked in a really good low rate for two years. I highly suggest looking into calling your electric provider, can't hurt to ask! (Troy does all the work when it comes to getting better rates/prices, as most of you know!)

I really need to get the kids' school shopping done; clothes and supplies. I usually purchase the supply package from school, but have you seen the CHEAP prices at WalMart for school supplies lately?! I just hate to have to go through all the looking. =P~ Also, there are a few things on their list that I don't even know what they expect you to buy. (dunno what it is!!) Last year I bought quite a few school supplies, but then when I added everything up it was about the same-minus the headache of shopping for the stuff.

I had better get the laundry moving again. 'Til next time!

It is great to know that you made it thru Dolly.

I am in NY & we have been having nothing BUT rain---and then when it is not raining it is hot & muggy. Last Friday we had a nice day & today is going to be a nice day also. So all that stuff you don't get done because it is raining you cram into the couple of days that it is not.

Saturday evening, it just thundered & thundered & thundered, constantly, a continuously roll for hours....amazing I find myself at your blog, blogging!
