Sarafina Archives

So what do I wake up to Saturday morning at 4am? The sound of cats growling, hissing, spitting... I yell, "Troy!!! Sarafina!!!" and he bolts out of bed and runs to the backyard. I hurried out after him. "It's that orange cat, and he isn't scared of me at all", Troy tells me. So, what do I do? What would any mother would do to protect her babies?? I ran over and yelled at him to "GET!!!!" out of my yard. So the cat hopped over the fence, but stayed on top of it. I walked over to Sarafina, crying as I am calling her, and she is so scared that she was even scared of ME. As I am walking over, I see that orange cat walking along the fence toward where Sarafina was. So, I yell at him and chase him again. This time he left. I was finally able to scoop up Sarafina into my arms, still crying... She was fine, no scratches or anything. I must have woken up right when that cat found her in the backyard! Thank God! So last night she slept in the laundry room with her food, water, and litter box until we figured out what we would do with her this morning. Guess where she is??

MM hmmm.... Inside again. We are going to give her another chance. Y'all pray for her to do the "right thing" and potty only in her litter box. We can't put her back outside because that orange cat will surely come back for her now that he knows she was there. I gave her a bath, which she loathed but I can tell she feels much better.

Doesn't she look peaceful?
