So, once again nothing to do today except a trip to Target. Megan still had about $24 on a couple Target gift cards from her birthday and she wanted to spend the money! So she bought a few packages of these new-ish small toy animals called Puppy in My Pocket. They have cats and safari animals too. Cute, but expensive for what they are if you ask me. The kids also needed new socks and underwear for school (which starts August 25th) so we completed THAT mission. After we arrived back at the house we ate lunch and then I helped the kids set up their slip and slide.
Sooo cute! Of course when I was setting it up, it squirted me in the eye which resulted in mascara running down my face and into my eye. The horror!! What we do for our children! :) Then the kids kept complaining about the ants climbing onto their precious plastic slide and biting them. "Suck it up!" I say. (not really, but I did tell them there wasn't anything more I could do about the ants so they could come in if they kept getting bit) While they were having fun outside, what was I doing? Dishes! (of course) They didn't take long to tire of the slippin' and slidin' and wanted back into the house. It's just so hot right now! Nothing like Aunt Robin's pool!!
