This summer

I think perhaps for future summers, I will try to plan out different things to do with the kids. I failed to do so this summer and they are bored out of their minds, which turns into picking on each other, fights, asking for snacks nonstop, etc... It isn't like we have the extra money this summer anyway though. After lunch, the kids and I will water-balloon each other in the backyard. :) That should be fun; pelting things at my children! Then, we need milk so we will head over to the store. Or maybe that will be before the water balloons.

For those of you that do not know, Sarafina is now a backyard cat. She has been in the backyard now for a week and 1/2. I feel so bad because she doesn't understand why. Perhaps you don't either! She decided a while back that it was fun to "relieve herself" on random things in the house: such as Troy's clothes, Adam's pillow, Adam's comforter, and any towels left on the floor. She was quick about it too. As we all know, I have the nose of a bloodhound and am very particular about the way my house smells. It wasn't going to fly. At first, we were going to give her to the spca. As beautiful as she is, someone would grab her up in a heartbeat. BUT, I had an idea! I know, I know... few and far between... haha I figured if she would stay in the backyard, then she could be an outside cat (she is de-clawed). Well, she hasn't tried to get out yet. She just wants to come back inside. I feel so bad for her, but it could be worse. She could be awaiting adoption at the spca and the adopters could give her cheap food!! (She is so picky and ONLY eats the good stuff! Spoiled little thing.)

Something else that is changing is Megan's dance school. They called me the day before yesterday (Tuesday) to tell me that the class we signed up for isn't going to make it. In other words, they aren't going to have the class. So, after looking at the classes they offered, and considering the BIG money we pay every month (and not to mention the recital fee, costume fees, and the EXPENSIVE pictures) we decided to look into other dance schools. We found one that she will have more time in the classroom, and we will pay a lot less. Also, the costume fees are TONS cheaper, the recital fee is a LOT cheaper, and the owner was very nice, honest, and friendly. I already contacted her old dance school (mind you, she has gone there for 3 years and the lady didn't remember who she is) and I told them we can't make it to the other classes they are offering and could I please have my registration fee returned. I will be getting the fee back, because it is their fault they aren't having the class, and her pictures from last dance-year have been there for about a month so I need to go get those, too. I AM a bit nervous about switching her, but I figure it's better I do it now when she is only 7 just in case we don't like it we can switch back and not much harm done.

Housework beckons.....
