Another year gone by

I know I say it all too often, but time really has flown by. The kids are back in school today, and Troy is back to work. I don't start school until January 13th. AND another few holiday pounds have found thier way onto my mid-section. Whoop-de-freakin-do. I am SO tired of dieting and worrying about that crap. Don't even get me started!

We got back from mom's on Friday. The original plan was to come back home Tuesday or Wednesday but it turned into Friday. We all had a really good time, which obviously explains the longer stay. Now I have tons of laundry and housework to do, that hasn't been done for way too long. Anyway, at mom's we lazily hung out at the house while the men went out on the water to fish, and we said "hi" to Rian every now and then. If there is someone that doesn't know who Rian is, lemme tell you... she is a 31 year old who has the mentality of a 6 year old. She lives down the street from mom and comes over often. Rian. is. funny. She doesn't smile very often. She keeps tabs from sodas. She keep track of time, all-the-time. If you tell her Amanda won't be home for a while, she will ask what time she will be back and look at her watch. If you tell her something that she didn't know, she will tell you "Well, I didn't know that". She also asks "why?" all. the. time. She brings over her colored pages to show you what she has done. Don't try to keep it either, because she only brought it over to SHOW you. I regret now that I didn't take any pictures of her while I was there, to post on my blog you see. :) Anyway, Rian is interesting and comical but she only rings the doorbell and stays momentarily before she looks at her watch and goes on to the next house. (My mother is grateful for this I believe) At any rate, here are some pictures of our stay...

We really enjoyed our stay...

When we finally arrived at our house, Lolli was very happy I was home. :) My poor li'l Lolli bird! There were a couple presents that Mrs. Gilda had left on the kitchen island, from Aunt DD. One for Megan, one for Adam. Aunt DD loves to spoil Miss Mimi (Mimi is Megan's nickname from when she was a baby, and Adam couldn't say Megan. So Aunt DD calls her Miss MiMi). Sooo, here is Miss Mimi with her new Juicy Couture purse, which by the way she LOVES...

Megan told me this morning that she wishes all of her school stuff would fit in her new Juicy purse so that she could bring it to school. :)

So that's it.. 2008 is over! It was a VERY difficult year for our family. I won't list all of the negative things that happened last year, in hopes of having a fantastic 2009! :)

Jesus is still on the throne at the right hand of the Father, and I am standing firm.
