Shakespeare

I have always believed Shakespeare was an incredible playwright. I was thinking about his plays and tragedies tonight, and how so many of today's profound sayings are from Shakepearean literature. I was thinking politics as well. Allow me to provide examples...

"What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
(Romeo and Juliet)

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"
(Hamlet)

and how can we forget

"Nothing will come out of nothing"
(King Lear)

"This above all: to thine own self be true"
(Hamlet)

and last but certainly not least....

"Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall"
(Measure for Measure)

I believe Shakespeare said many things very well. He was able to put into words what many wouldn't dare to say today.

Take what you will from this... I care not.

Ok, maybe I actually care... But "I care not" sounded so cool. :)

Nope, no English classes.. Done with those! I just like Shakespeare, and I like to relate old sayings to present situations. Get my drift? Read 'em again...
